Rubbish & recycling

Resident rubbish and recycling collections are undertaken by Haringey Council.  Collection days in Hale Village are on a Tuesday.

Waste/recycling Collection day What’s included
Dry recycling Collected every week on Tuesdays Glass bottles, jars, food tins, drink cans, aerosols, paper, cardboard, all plastic bottles, food and drink cartons, plastic carrier bags, plastic containers and food trays
Non-recyclable waste Collected every other week on Tuesdays Any household waste that isn’t dry recycling , food waste or garden waste
Food waste Collected every week on Tuesdays Eggs, dairy products, fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, bones, tea bags, coffee grounds, bread, pasta, rice, plate scrapings
Garden waste Collected every week on Tuesdays Grass cuttings, hedge clippings, leaves, prunings, small branches, flowers – max five bags per week
Waste/recycling Collection day
Bulky items The council has a free service for bulky items such as mattresses, fridges, washing machines, bookcases.  For more details or to book a collection contact the Veolia Contact Centre:

Textiles, wood, electrical items These must be taken to the nearest street recycling bank or reuse and recycling centre.
